What is it like to talk with a therapist?

We can discuss the topics that are most important to you and confront that which prevents you from living the life you want. Therapy is a dynamic process, where your needs of the moment are explored in the context of your larger goals. You may have goals that you want to discuss or you may prefer free-form conversation. We adjust our style to match your needs.
It is important to know that Sequim Counseling does not prescribe medication. If you are interested in medication, we can provide a referral for you to see a doctor or nurse practitioner that prescribes.
Therapy takes a lot of time and money. I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Counseling will not make anything worse. Talking through painful experiences and circumstances is part of the healing process and will lead to more happiness and fulfillment in your life. Sharing your emotions allows you to experience resolution, clarity, and insight. Plus, you no longer have to store these unexpressed emotions in your body and psyche. We will be with you throughout the process and offer useful tools that will help you move through your emotions.
